A Northwest Georgia man who is currently incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail for armed robbery, is now facing six additional robbery charges that date back over two years.
Forty-six-year-old Lamar “Pee Wee” Cantrell Hunter was arrested in August after being implicated in a store robbery on July 28th. Shortly after his arrest on those charges, Hunter was additionally charged with robbing the High Tech gas station in Rome. He was then charged with felony aggravated battery after he got in a fight with another inmate where Hunter broke the other inmate’s arm, nose and collarbone.
The Rome News Tribune reported yesterday that Hunter has been additionally charged with these robberies:

The Rome News Tribune said, “Hunter has served around six different stints in prison, ranging from 12 to 18 months for each stay, starting in August of 1999. He was previously incarcerated on cocaine possession, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, aggravated stalking and theft by taking charges. That means that, if convicted, Hunter could be sentenced under Georgia’s recidivist statute, designed to punish offenders with multiple felony convictions. If prosecutors pursue those sentencing measures, Hunter could face a life sentence for each armed robbery conviction.”
