Chattooga County residents and businesses affected by the Labor Day Weekend flood are going to have to wait a while longer before a decision is made concerning assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
Chattooga County EMA / 911 posted a notice earlier this week saying that they were notified by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) that FEMA advised the state agency that Chattooga residents will not be notified about any FEMA assistance for another 60-90 days due to the agency’s response to Hurricane Ian.
Chattooga EMA promised to post any updates on their social media page.
