
On Tuesday of this week, a fifty-two-year-old Centre, Alabama man was charged with leading police on a high-speed chase in July of this year after fleeing from a traffic stop. Police say that James Dale Amos fled from the traffic stop at high speeds – up to 50 mph over the speed limit. Police say that Amos was driving aggressively and on the wrong side of the road while swerving from oncoming cars and “brake checking” police officers. Amos has been charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and multiple misdemeanor charges, including: driving with a suspended license, reckless and aggressive driving, speeding and driving on the wrong side of the roadway among others.
