The Coosa River Basin Initiative will hold their meeting tonight from 6 PM  until 8:30 PM at the Georgia Northwestern Technical College Campus in Rome.

Jason Wisniewski Aquatic Zoologist with the Georgia Dept. Natural Resources will be the keynote speaker, delivering "The Marvels of Mussels" an intimate look at CRBI’s favorite aquatic critters.

The agenda will also include the election of CRBI Officers. Nominated to serve the organization through January 2013 are Nina Lovel of Rome; President; Mike Sarver of Rome; Vice-President, Meredith Brown of Rome; Treasurer and Ed Bostick of Cartersville; Secretary. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

The 2010 Annual Report will be presented as well as a preview of CRBI’s activities in 2011.

The evening begins with refreshments and socializing at 6 p.m. The program will follow at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be held in Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Auditorium on its Rome Campus
