
A large crowd gathered at Chattooga High School on Monday evening to remember the victims of a horrific car crash that happened in the early morning hours of Sunday on the Lyerly Highway. The crash claimed the lives of three Chattooga High School students.
Tydravevius Dozier, 14, Zantivian Brown, 16, and Xavier Gray, 15, were all killed in the crash when the car they were in lost control, went airborne, and hit an embankment. Also killed was the driver, Otis James Tennard, Jr., 54.
Several area pastors spoke and prayed and classmates paid tribute in song to the lives of the three young athletes and high school students.

Grief counselors were on hand on Tuesday morning at Chattooga High School when students returned to class after the weekend. Chattooga County School Supt. Jared Hosmer says that if any student or family needs support during this time, they should reach out to him or any member of the Chattooga High School staff.
