Summerville Police responded to a call on Hawkins Drive on Tuesday and spoke with a complainant who said she had returned home from work and found another woman sleeping in her bed.

Police said that the complainant had given the suspect a blanket and told the suspect that she could stay on her carport, but didn’t want the woman in her house while she was gone.  The complainant locked her house and left for work around 4 AM but when she returned, she found the suspect -identified as twenty-two-year-old Torria Alexis Ludy inside the residence, asleep.

Police located the suspect on Vine Street and found some items in the woman’s pocketbook that the complainant said were taken from the complainant’s residence.

Ludy was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and booked into the Chattooga County jail.
