For the first time in two weeks, Chattooga County reported a new COVID-19 case, according to numbers released from the Georgia Department of Public Health on Wednesday of this week.  Earlier this year, the Department of Public Health went to a weekly reporting system instead of a daily reporting system.  There were 101 deaths reported across the state last week.  In addition, there were 3,693 new cases of COVID-19.  There were fourteen COVID-19 patients in Rome area hospitals last week.
