Only one business has applied for a liquor license from the Town of Lyerly so far and a hearing was held on Tuesday evening for public input on the application. 

According to Lyerly Town Clerk Joy Hampton, there was no one present who wished to speak at the hearing which was held right before the Town Council work session at the Lyerly Town Hall.

TJ’s Package Store, owned by Lyerly businessman Tony Pattell, has applied for a license to sell beer, wine and liquor.  If approved, the store will be be the only liquor store in Chattooga County.
