Vaping has been a problem at Chattooga High School, and school officials say that they are addressing the issue.  The school released a statement for students and parents last week.

Message from Chattooga High School:
It is unfortunate that we have had many issues with vapes recently. We want CHS to be a safe, fun environment. Vapes are illegal for minors and do not have a place here. Please DO NOT bring vapes to school.
Be advised of our vape policy:
-Vapes with THC will result in a tribunal hearing with recommended placement in Alternative School for up to 1 year. (Depending on the situation, this can also result in criminal charges in juvenile court per SRO/Sheriff’s Office.)
-Non-THC Vape Policy
1st Offense – 1 Day of ISI
2nd Offense – 3 Days of OSS
3rd Offense – Tribunal Hearing and recommendation for Alternative School for up to 1 year.
Do not use vapes as a coping method. If you need help coping with emotions and real-life struggles, let’s find a healthy way!
