Chattooga County Sheriff’s deputies and agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force arrested a Rome man earlier this month after he was found to be in possession of illegal drugs at a Dollar General Store in Chattooga County.

Johnnie Oscar Carter was arrested on December 8th at the Dollar General Store located at the intersection of Highway 27 and the Gore-Subligna Road.  Arrest reports indicated that Carter was arrested shortly before 7 PM.

Law enforcement officers say that Carter was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a “bag of cocaine”.

Carter is facing charges of drug possession and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
