As we head towards Christmas this coming Sunday, Northwest Georgia will be experiencing some of the coldest temperatures we have seen in quite some time.  Forecasters say that by Friday, we may have a high temperature well below freezing, and are predicting single-digit temperatures for Friday night into Christmas Eve.

Last year, we were above average for our daytime highs and nighttime lows leading up to Christmas day.  Temperatures in 2021 the week of Christmas saw daytime highs in the mid to upper 50’s to low 60’s and nighttime lows in the upper 30’s.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service shows we will be around 9 degrees when we wake up on Christmas Eve this year and in the teens as we wake up on Christmas Day.
