
A fifty-seven-year-old Summerville man was arrested on disorderly conduct charges in the early morning hours of Thursday (December 29) after several calls to police about his behavior.
According to Summerville Police, calls about Horace Wooten, Jr. began coming in on Wednesday night around 10 PM. Police spoke with Wooten at a Frank Street address and said that he was visibly intoxicated. Wooten said that a family member was in the residence and he wanted to go to a different house. Police took Mr. Wooten to a Hawkins Drive residence. Shortly before midnight, police received another call about Wooten and responded back to the Frank Street address. Family members said that Wooten had returned to that address and was causing problems.
Officers couldn’t locate Wooten at the Frank Street residence, but did find him, still intoxicated, and sitting on the porch of a residence 7th Avenue.
Wooten was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct.
