A Bittings Avenue Summerville man called police last Friday after he discovered someone was using his Peachstate Credit Union debit card to place bets with an online sports betting platform.

Summerville Police said that Stephen Tidmore showed them were someone had spent $425 using his debit card information.  The bets were made in $25 increments on Caesar’s Sportsbook’s website.

Ceasar’s Sportsbook is legal in nineteen states, but Georgia isn’t one of them.

The complainant showed police that he is still in possession of the card and has no idea who might be using his information.  The complainant let his credit union know about the issue and the case was turned over to an investigator.
