The Chattooga County Land Use Commission is meeting tomorrow evening to unveil changes to the county’s land use ordinance that was hastily adopted last year by Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry.

Commissioner Elsberry told WZQZ News that he has not seen the changes that the land use commission will be proposing and has no plans to look at them until they are approved by the commission he appointed.   Originally, the commissioner had said that he would begin enforcing the ordinance January 1, 2023, but told the local newspaper that he won’t start enforcing the ordinance until he sees and adopts the recommended changes by his land use commission.

The meeting is open to the public and there will be a Zoom link posted on the county’s website HERE .
