The Summerville City Council has a called meeting coming up on Monday evening. According to an agenda released on Friday, the council appears to moving towards having a joint building inspector with the Town of Trion.

An item on the agenda says:

Approve Interlocal Agreement between the City of Summerville and the Town of Trion to provide building inspection services through a contract and authorize the Interim City Manager to work with the Mayor of Trion to review responses, negotiate and contract with a qualified person to perform the work of building inspections.

The city currently employs a part-time building inspector.

The called meeting tomorrow evening will get underway at 5 PM at Summerville City Hall and the public is invited to attend.
