Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley continues to seek volunteers to assist with area home builds.  The Coosa Valley Chapter serves Floyd, Polk and Chattooga Counties in Northwest Georgia.

Betsy Allgood, Executive Director, stated that a dedication is scheduled for Sunday, February 19th for Habitat’s 59th home, located on Branham Avenue in South Rome. Ground will be broken this Spring for the 60th home build over in Polk County.

A dedication was held in December for the 58th home build in North Rome. Allgood indicates that all of these home builds have been made possible by volunteers and donors.

Those who benefit from Habitat home builds must also put in sweat equity, adds Allgood.

Habitat is accepting applications for homeownership until Friday, February 24th. For additional details or to apply, visit www.habitatcoosavalley.org or the Habitat ReStore at 504 East 1st Avenue in Rome.
