Two people were taken into custody after a traffic stop due to active warrants. According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy saw Joseph Stowe getting into a vehicle at the Mountain View Store and knew that Stowe had an active warrant. The deputy followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Tonie Vicktoria Cochran and told the deputy that her license was suspended. After a check, the deputy informed the driver that not only was her license suspended, she also had an active warrant. The deputy allowed the driver to call for someone to come pick up some juvenile’s in the vehicle and arrested both Stowe and Cochran on the outstanding warrants and took them to the Chattooga County Jail.
