A Lindale man has been arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, simple assault, and five counts of first-degree cruelty to children.

According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:

29-year-old Dusty Ryan Brooks kicked in the front door of a home on Hosea Street, entered the residence, and assaulted a woman inside.

There were five children in the home during the incident, according to the report.
