One of the changes was presented by commission member Eddy Willingham and the other by member Grey Winstead. But Commissioner Elsberry says that he will not be looking at either of the proposals until the commission he appointed comes to a consensus and presents him with a final revision.
Elsberry told WZQZ News this week, “I have not and will not see the proposal/proposals until the land committee votes on what they decide to send me for final approval. I can tell you I will be looking closely at the changes to make sure they address the concerns of our citizens, while still protecting the properties of our county”.
Critics of the ordinance say that while both revisions do offer a reduction in size to the original ordinance, they still have concerns about how the ordinance will affect property owners in Chattooga County. The concerned citizens have a Facebook page you can see HERE
