The Chattooga County Board of Education will have a called meeting coming up this evening at 5 PM.  There are big personnel changes on the agenda for tonight’s meeting, including the retirement of one longtime school system administrator and a new principal for Summerville Elementary School and Chattooga High School. 

Jeff Martin, former Chattooga High School Principal and current assistant school superintendent, will be retiring at the end of the school year and is being replaced by Jeremy Heathcock, who currently serves as special education director.  Angie Culbert will move from assistant High School Principal to the principal at Summerville Middle School, replacing Martha Templeton who is also retiring.

The agenda states that Dr. Emily Mobbs, current principal at Chattooga High School will be moving to a position at the Chattooga County Education Center in data collections and student information.  There is no indication in the agenda for tonight’s meeting as to who will be replacing Dr. Mobbs as Chattooga High School Principal.

Also, Barry Peppers, who is the current principal at Crossroads Academy, will be moving to Director of Alternative Education Programs.
