The Rome Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver that happened earlier this week.
According to WRGA in Rome, the robbery took place on Frost Drive Wednesday evening. Rome Police Department said an employee at Domino’s Pizza on Shorter Avenue told officers that she was making a delivery and as she was walking to the house, she was approached by two men armed with handguns.
The delivery person told the men the price of the pizza and they replied that they didn’t care about that and then demanded to keys to the woman’s vehicle. The men made off with the vehicle and $6.
The light-up Domino’s sign from the vehicle was recovered and returned to the business.
