Early Wednesday morning Cherokee County Chief Deputy Tim Hayes responded to a report of a vehicle being trapped in high flood waters at a location on County Road 136 off of County Road 48 in Sand Rock in Cherokee County, Alabama. Chief Deputy Hayes said that fortunately the driver managed to get out of the vehicle on his own and that the car was over half covered by water.
