A Georgia man and an Alabama woman were arrested in Ringgold last week after authorities discovered meth, marijuana, and a large amount of money in their vehicle.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office:

At about 9:54 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, a Catoosa deputy responded to an assistance call regarding an arrest that was taking place in Ringgold by U.S. marshals of a man and a woman with outstanding warrants.

Angela Lynn Patterson, 36, of 151 Country Road in Fort Payne, Ala., and Michael Ernest Pack, 29, of 141 Black-wood Court in Calhoun, Ga., were arrested on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs with the intent to distrib-ute and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, while Pack was also charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Upon arrival, the Catoosa deputy was briefed by U.S. marshals of the situation, as well as an odor coming from the passenger side of the vehicle.

Patterson, the vehicle owner, denied consent for the vehicle to be searched, so a K-9 unit was called. After arri-val, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted.

Catoosa County detectives were notified after methamphetamine, “narcotic equipment,” and a large sum of money were located in the vehicle. Also, a small amount of marijuana was discovered in Pack’s possession.

Both offenders were read their rights and both requested to speak with an attorney before answering any ques-tions.

All evidence was turned over to the Catoosa County evidence room, and both suspects were taken to Catoosa County jail without incident.
