An Atlanta man has been arrested on warrants charging him with conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of items prohibited for inmates.

According to the warrants:

27-year-old Rontavis Stephen Stripling Sr. conspired with two other people to have contraband delivered to the site of a work detail with the ultimate destination being the Floyd County Prison.

Calls recorded on the prison phone system showed that Stripling provided a cell phone and charger to one of the people, who then packaged those items, along with more than 55 grams of tobacco and rolling papers inside a Pringle’s potato chip canister.

The canister was then left at the Bartow County Recycling Center to be retrieved by an inmate.
