Cook & Connelly Law Firm in downtown Summerville is getting a makeover.  The building was the law office for one of the South’s best-known attorneys – Bobby Lee Cook, and Mr. Cook’s grandson Sutton Connelly now heads the firm.

The building’s mid-century architecture was the design of Gene Surber of the firm Surber & Barber in Atlanta.

The Cook & Connelly building received major damage from the flooding in downtown Summerville and is now being refurbished inside and out.  The redwood paneled walls in the building are being redone and slate floors are being installed in the impressive circular library.
