A Chattooga County man turned himself in at the Floyd County Jail last week on charges that he participated in a gang-related robbery in Rome in October of last year.
Floyd County Police say that during that robbery at the A1 Liquor Store, the victim was beaten and held at gunpoint. In reports from police, they say that the gang known as the Real Northside Babies, committed the crime ” to support and proliferate the gang financially and to gain notoriety, respect and intimidate others”.
Four gang members were arrested earlier in March. They included, Justin Antonio Glynn, 20; Jakobie Jiquan Adams, 18; Charles Maddarius Lamar Adams, 19; Caden Alexander Morang, 19; and Corey Lashun Chatman Jr., 18.
Summerville resident Malachi Alexander Williams, age 20, turned himself in and is charged with felony armed robbery, felony aggravated assault, felony false imprisonment and felony participation in criminal gang activity and misdemeanor battery. He was being held without bond.
