A sixty-nine-year-old man was arrested last week after he was caught on video using foul language around children on a school bus. According to a report released on Tuesday by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the incident followed a minor accident at Sunset Drive and Cooper Heights with a Chattooga County School bus on Thursday of last week. The bus had backed into a vehicle driven by the suspect, and while the suspect was speaking with the school bus driver he began to curse, using the “F” word with children present. The bus driver also said that the suspect also threatened to use a gun, telling the bus driver “You better be bullet proof” – which was confirmed in the recording. Edwin Lee Raughton was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct.
