
A man is facing multiple charges in Floyd County including impersonating a police officer.
According to Floyd County Jail records and arrest warrants:
Thirty-three-year-old Joshua Allen Moates of Taylorsville, Georgia was seen looking through the windows and trying to pry open the door to a home on East Fourth Avenue in Rome.
When confronted, Moates said he was a federal agent before fleeing the area, running a red light at Turner McCall Boulevard and Hicks Drive.
He then led police on a chase that traveled 15 and a half miles.
Moates is also charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, loitering or prowling, criminal trespass, reckless driving, and running a red light.
