The Summerville City Council is moving forward with plans to build a new public works facility on property owned by the city near the Summerville Industrial Park off Highway 100.  The new public works building is expected to cost over $68,000.  The move was prompted by flood damage at the aging building that currently houses Summerville Public Works in downtown Summerville.  At a meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening at Summerville City Hall, the council will be looking to approve paying Carter & Sloope Engineers over $10,000 for site work planning for the new facility.  Tomorrow’s meeting gets underway at 5 PM.  There will be a question and answer session for the public at 4:30 PM.
