On Friday afternoon the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia and Harbor House – Northwest Georgia Child Advocacy Center hosted the 3rd annual Walk to Support Survivors in Downtown Rome.

The Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia supports victims in the surrounding area, including Chattooga County.

The walk started in front of Rome City Hall and went to East 3rd Avenue before turning back towards City Hall.

The community event hopes to raise awareness for child abuse prevention month and sexual assault awareness month while honoring survivors (and their families) and others impacted by abuse, neglect, and assault.
