Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton sold five properties on the courthouse steps on Tuesday of this week.  Originally, there were thirty-two properties slated for this month’s tax sale, but 27 property owners worked out arrangements with the tax commissioner to get their taxes paid.  The ones that sold are listed below:

55B–48- vacant lot on Welcome Hill Rd, opening bid $769.10, sold for $5500.00 to Alberto Serrano

41–41-C- vacant lot on Dogwood Dr, opening bid $621.73, sold for $621.73 sold to Corey Hunter

7A3–148- vacant lot in Cloudland, opening bid $1073.95, sold for $1073.95 to Sarah Hammond

7A2–8- vacant lot in Cloudland, opening bid $925.80, sold for $1100.00 to Wanda Spraggins

7A2–9- vacant lot in Cloudland, opening bid $925.80, sold for $1300.00 to Travis Moore.
