Sheriff John Everett has started the search for a new investigator after he fired his current investigator earlier this week.  Gary Mull, who had been working as an investigator less than one year, was fired for responding to a call in Trion with alcohol on his breath.

Mull reportedly admitted to consuming at 22 ounce beer and some whiskey earlier in the day.  Everett fired Mull on the spot and took him home while another Sheriff’s Department Employee took Mulls’ vehicle back to the Sheriff’s Department in Summerville.

Sheriff Everett said that he began advertising for someone to fill the job of investigator.
