Graduation exercises for both local high schools will be held on the same evening this year.  Trion High School and Chattooga High School will both have graduation this Friday, May 26, 2023 at 8 PM.

Trion High School’s graduation will take place at Sam R. McCain Stadium off Central Avenue in Trion.  The graduation will get underway at 8 PM and will be held on the football field.  Trion City Schools say if it rains, graduation will be moved to the Trion High School Gym.  For now, the weather forecast looks good for the event to be held outside with clear skies and temperatures in the mid-70’s forecast for Friday evening.

Chattooga High School’s Class of 2023 will be holding commencement exercises in the gymnasium instead of the football stadium  CHS Principal Dr. Emily Mobbs said, “Due to construction in the stadium, it is necessary for us to have the Class of 2023 Graduation ceremony in the gym on Friday, May 26^th at 8 PM. Each graduate will receive a minimum of 12 tickets. We are making plans to Livestream as well. We look forward to celebrating our Graduates!”.
