This past weekend, a thirty-four-year-old Trion man was already in the Walker County Jail on unrelated charges when he was additionally charged with first degree arson and first degree burglary.  Justin Curtis Rogers was charged after an investigation by the Walker County Fire Marshal into a fire that happened on April 23rd of this year.  The fire was on West Magnolia Street near LaFayette.  Officials in Walker County say that the home was vacant and there was not power to the home at the time of the fire.  The investigation proved that an accelerate was used in the fire and investigators identified Rogers as a suspect due to a disagreement Rogers had with a recent tenant at the residence.  Investigators say that a call to the Georgia Arson Control tip line helped identify Rogers as the suspect in the arson case.
