The investigation into allegations that a Chattooga County deputy used excessive force during an arrest continue by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation according to Sheriff John Everett. 

Late last month Chattooga County Deputy Andrew Plummer was suspended from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s department until the investigation could be completed by the GBI.  Sheriff Everett told AM 1180 on Wednesday afternoon that Plummer will remain off the force until the investigation is completed. 

Everett said that Plummer has worked for the Chattooga County Sheriffs department for about a year and that he has had no previous complaints.
