A thirty-two-year-old Summerville woman was arrested on drug possession charges last Friday, according to a report from the Summerville Police Department.

Police say that they were dispatched to a residence on Dowdy Street concerning a woman who was having problems with her niece.  Police say that on the way to the call, they saw the suspect walking down the street.  The suspect put a large woman’s pocketbook behind a tree before walking up to speak with the responding officer.   When asked about the pocketbook, the woman denied it being hers; however, the officer found credit cards, ID and mail inside the pocketbook with the suspect’s name on it.

Suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe were also found inside the pocketbook.

Chasidney Justine Rickett was arrested on drug charges and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
