Summerville Police released a report on Wednesday of this week about an incident that was reported last week at Summerville Gardens where two males tried to gain entry into a woman’s apartment and pushed her into a door.

When police spoke with the victim, she said that the two men had been giving her family trouble that day.  She accused the two men of having trashed a residence on Mahan Road earlier the same day.

Police found the two men on Scoggins Street where they had reportedly tried to break into the victim’s brother’s residence. The two suspects were identified as Marlon Jones and Justin Campbell.  Jones told police that he was upset because he believed the victim’s family “had his check” and he wanted his money.  Jones apologized for the incident, but admitted he had pushed the victim earlier.

Both Jones and Campbell were arrested on criminal trespass charges and Campbell was additionally charged with being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.
