The City of Summerville presented the “Friend of the Community Award” to Felicia Foster on Thursday. The award was given in advance of Friendship Week and the Friendship Festival that is coming up next week.

Susan Locklear with Summerville Main Street said:

Our next recipient of the “Friend Of The Community” award is Ms. Felecia Foster. Here is a summary from the nominations received for Felecia – Felicia is always advocating for needs in the community- whether it’s church, ball teams, or school kids. She is and always has been a huge supporter of our school systems and the children in them. She adores this county and the city where she lives. Felicia never mentions her own needs. No matter what battle she is facing, you will always find her pressing on to help someone. From helping with sack lunches, being present for kids who may not have someone to cheer them on, to the tutoring programs she was instrumental in providing in the community, to just making people feel special, she is a mentor and an encourager to others. Felicia is an icon in our community who radiates positivity and is an inspiration. Thank you Felecia for all that you do! It Matters! There will be more awards coming soon!
