Susan Locklear with Summerville Main Street said:

Congratulations to Ms. Mildred Cordle, who has been employed by the Athens Community Council On Aging in the division of the Senior Community Service Employment Program since March 30, 2020. Her nominations were for her work she has done over the years while wearing many “hats.” Here are a few quotes: ” Ms. Cordle has served as the Secretary/Treasurer of Menlo Lions Club since 2014. She helps with fund raisers, applies for grants and then follows through with the administration of the grants for seniors. She also has been very active in helping those in need obtain glasses through the Lions Club Lighthouse Program. With special grants that have been awarded to the Lions Club, Ms. Mildred prepares and delivers hygiene bags of necessities to elderly residents in our county. Through her volunteer work at The Community Resource Center, she has shown compassion and kindness with a smile on her face while helping individuals with food. She has also volunteered with food distribution through special grants with the Lions Club. She has helped others in many ways her entire life. Ms. Mildred is in her mid 80’s and is amazing to watch as she sets an example for others to follow with her servant attitude and her spirit of serving others.” Thank You Ms. Mildred Cordle for all that you do! It Matters! Keep Up The Good Work ! More Awards Coming!
