The 2023-2024 school year is officially underway for most local students. It is a great time for kids to get involved with Cub Scouts. That’s according to Eric Vaughn, Vice President of Marketing for the Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Volunteers will be visiting elementary schools in the coming weeks to recruit new Cub Scouts, says Vaughn. He adds that families may locate their nearest pack online at www.beascout.org.

Scouting develops youth into true leaders, asserts Vaughn.

Are your kids too old to join Cub Scouts? Vaughn attests that they may join any Boy Scout troop that is appropriate to their age at any time.

Vaughn also says that volunteers are always sought to assist with the scouting program.
