According to a report recently released by the Summerville Police Department, a thirty-four-year-old woman was arrested on drug charges after an officer responded to a call shortly after midnight on Thursday of last week.  The woman was seen near the intersection of Marvin Avenue and Ramey Street “acting strange”.  When officers approached the woman, they could tell she was under the influence of some kind of drug.  A glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine was found near where the woman’s possessions were on the ground.  The woman denied that the glass pipe was hers.  Emily Broome was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects.
