The new Waffle House in Summerville is on schedule for opening in November or December of this year.

Company officials say that work on the property and building is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks.  They say that normally, it takes about three months to complete a new store building.

Currently, the company operates over 1,900 locations nationwide.

The Summerville Waffle House will be located roughly 21 miles from the nearest location on Highway 27 in Armuchee, across from Mount Berry Mall and 32 miles away from the next closest location in Calhoun.

The Summerville Waffle House is expected to provide between 20-25 jobs and will be the 437th Waffle House in Georgia, according to company records.
