A Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call from the Lyerly Dollar General Store about counterfeit money last week. According to a report released on Tuesday, the deputy was told by a store clerk that a woman came into the store and attempted to use five fake $20 bills to put money on her cash app. The store clerk told the woman that the bills were fake and that she could not give them back to her and that a report would be made to the sheriff’s office about the incident.
