A Calhoun couple were sentenced in U.S. District Court in Rome for possession of child pornography. Prosecutors say that forty-two-year-old William Sandridge and his wife forty-two-year-old Michelle Sandridge exchanged texts that included graphic images of child pornography. Michelle Sandridge was employed as a special education instructor at a Canton school at the time of the incidents. The couple attempted to delete the images, but the GBI found graphic images on their cell phones and on a laptop computer. William Sandridge was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison and his wife to 18 months in prison. Both will have a lifetime of supervised release.
