A Chattooga County agricultural student competed in FFA competitions this past week. Lane Bridges placed first among 26 competitors at the Area 1 Tractor Operation and Maintenance CDE on Thursday.

The Tractor and Machinery Operations & Maintenance CDE is designed to develop skills in operating tractors and various pieces of machinery safely, as well as maintaining the tractor and machinery in a safe and productive manner. This event is open to students in grades 9-12 who are agricultural education students, and are paid members of a chartered FFA chapter.
