The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission is updating its regional plan and will be holding a series of public listening sessions starting in October.

The plan includes regional goals, development maps, needs and opportunities.

The first listening session will be in Rome, from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday, October 3rd, at the Rome Civic Center, 400 Civic Center Drive. People are encouraged to drop in during those hours, hear about the plan and leave comments.

Two other sessions are planned, in Dalton in late November or early December and in February 2024 at a location to be determined.

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission covers Floyd, Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker and Whitfield counties.
