Remember the Corpsewood murders?  The story about reclusive, supposed devil-worshippers that lived on Taylor’s Ridge in Chattooga County made national headlines.  The suspects in that case were prosecuted by then District Attorney Ralph VanPelt.  VanPelt went on to serve as a judge in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit.  Now retired, Judge VanPelt saw many historic events over his years in office, both as a district attorney and as a judge.  He will be speaking tomorrow at the Chattooga Historical Society, which will be holding their quarterly meeting at the Historic Summerville Depot at 1 PM.  The meetings are free and open to the public.
