A forty-four-year-old Walker County woman has been charged with arson in Chattooga County.  Julia Ledbetter Cotton reportedly admitted to setting fire to her former residence in Trion.  The woman told investigators that she set fire to the house because her father had forced her to move from the home.  Cotton is said to have started the fire at 34 Sunset Lane in Trion on Monday, September 25, 2023 around 9:30 in the evening.  Cotton is charged with first-degree felony arson in connection with the incident.
