The generosity of Chattooga County’s residents has been evident over the past week as citizens across the county have donated what they could to storm victims in our neighboring counties.  More than one person has commented that Chattooga County was spared from the violent weather on April 27 for a reason – to help our neighbors in need.

Next week supplies will be received at the Lyerly Town Hall. Lyerly Town Clerk Joy Hampton said that Monday a shipment will be sent to Trenton, Georgia.  If you would like to donate items you can take them to the Lyerly Town Hall during normal business hours.  AM 1180 will be posting needed supplies on www.chattoogainfo.com next week.

If you would like to make a monetary donation you can make out a check to Chattooga Family Connection and drop that check off at the Commissioner’s Office or the AM 1180 studios next week.  Chattooga Family Connection will use the money to purchase supplies that are requested by the communities in Georgia and Alabama affected by the storms.
