State Senator Colton Moore, who represents Chattooga and surrounding counties in the Georgia Senate, appeared on a program this week and said that if Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney Fani Willis is allowed to move forward prosecuting former President Donald Trump it will lead to “civil war”.  Moore went on to say that he doesn’t want to have to “draw my rifle”. 

Moore, who has been suspended from his party’s caucus by his fellow Republicans in Atlanta, made the comments on Real America’s Voice “War Room”.

Moore pushed for a special legislative session to be called to “defund” the elected Fulton County prosecuting attorney.  Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has called Moore’s plans “unconstitutional” and said that the governor and state legislature have no legal authority to interfere with the district attorney’s case.

Moore’s plans received very little support from fellow Republicans at the state capital.  Moore said, “The first step … is defunding Fani Willis of any Georgia tax dollars”.
